Health and Safety

At Central Bristol Children Centre, we recognise that everyone needs to be kept safe from harm by others and from hurting themselves. We have created a safe environment for you to come to with adults you can trust who have your best interests at the centre of all we do. This enables everyone to achieve his or her full potential.  All our staff and volunteers have a current DBS, Disclosure and Barring Service certificate. This means that the member of staff has had checks completed on them to ensure that they are a safe and appropriate person to be working with children and vulnerable people. Staff also undertake regular training to ensure that they are able to recognise and respond to a child or young person who is at risk of harm.

We have a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) who has had extra training to be able to respond appropriately and promptly when a concern is brought to their attention.

All the staff at Central Bristol Children’s Centre will support you in learning and teaching your children about keeping themselves safe. They will support you and your child to explore healthy eating, e-safety, road safety, stranger danger, making healthy relationships and anti-bullying. They are always there to ensure that you and your family feel safe and secure and are able to discuss any worries or concerns you may have.
